I have been to Las Vegas many times to attend various technical conferences and must have stayed at Venetian at least 3-4 times.
The lobby of this hotel is very impressive. The walls and ceilings are well decorated and they have very nice chandeliers. Overall their entrance looks grandiose. Even if you don't stay here, you must go to see the lobby.
Their rooms are well furnished and very nice. If you plan the trip in advance, you can get a reasonable rate by looking at their promotions. They advertise
the promotions on their website and many other travel sites. It pays to do some research before you go there.
There is a big mall that is part of this hotel. There are many restaurants and shops in this mall. Even if don't want to buy anything, you will have good time just walking around. There is a canal that goes through the center of the mall and they have
gondola rides in that canal. It just feels like you are in Venice.
In the casino area there is one french bakery that is out-of-the-world. The name of the bakery is Bouchon. Their muffins and pastries are really good. You must try once whenever you go there. Also, there is a Grand Lux Cafe in the casino area that I really recommend. We had our breakfast in that cafe and we loved it. The Grand Lux Cafe is owned by Cheesecake Factory.
In this mall there is another restaurant, Enoteca San marco, that is very good for Italian food. It is owned by Mario Batali. Although, it is on the expensive side but the food is worth the price.
The casino area is well kept and nicely decorated. I am not qualified to say much about the gaming part as I don't spend too much time in the casino but looking at the people it feels like they are having a good time. Overall, I give a thumbs up to this hotel/casino.
