After long time never been go to Guru Palace for lunch, I found out that they have been improve their lunch buffet. They put several live counters.
the most impress me is that the chef makes dosa in front of you and according to your taste. This is amazing. Also they put so many new items in the buffet.
i dont expect to be like this when the price for the lunch buffet is very reasonable.
Also i bring my own wine which paired with Guru' signature bbq, Patiala Lamb Chops which serve on flambee is definetly worth my trip again back to Guru Palace.
When i don't cook , my family and i just go to Guru Palace, enjoy healty and delicious meals.

Not authentic desi food. i know my food. This was far from being even average. Greasy. Party hall looks cheezy. Service was below average. Only the dessert was good.

One thing servers from this place need to know is to SMILE. I have been to this place twice. No doubt the service was good, but I don't remember anyone smiling. I normally thank my servers when they serve me water or bring me food; in reply, silence. Both times, the server was say anything and walk away. I felt like they were ignoring me.

The food was decent; not poor, at the same time, nothing extra ordinary about it either. We ordered pakodas; not impressive. For main course, we ordered, daal, malai kofta, paneer tikka, tadka daal and naan. Naan was very fresh and not chewy as all. Tadka daal was excellent. Paneer tikka was alright, too much of heavy cream. Koftas were very ordinary. Dessert was alright.

Went there for buffet once. Food was alright. Kheer and gulab jamun were very good.

It seems like they have tried to make a lounge and changed their mind at the last moment. The decor, light fixtures, water fountains makes it a lounge. The booth sofas had tapes all over them. They looked like those State bus seats from India, where all the seating arrangement has to have THIGDA on them.

The salt shaker had some older restaurant's name on it. Cutlery looked old, with scratches. This could be a good hang out place at night with friends but would skip it for dinner.

Guru Palace is great as a catering service for small get-togethers. We have used them a couple of times previously, and they have always been punctual with their delivery, and have always offered us great prices for the food. The food itself sometimes is a tad bit oily, but the owner is extremely receptive to instructions, so asking him to prepare the food in a certain way can work out well.
