This used to be the local market that I had been going to for a number of years, since there were no others closer to me. The shopping experience was fairly average, until one day I had to return an unopened bottle of rose water which had some sort of brown sediments in the bottom of the bottle. I had purchased it on my previous visit (I usually shopped there about once a month) but couldn't find the receipt; since the bottle was clearly unopened, I didn't think that there would be a problem returning it for either a refund or store credit. I didn't want to risk buying another bottle from the same place, in case that was contaminated too.
When I asked to return the bottle, the store owner/manager refused to exchange it or refund my money or give me store credit for the purchase and was extremely rude to me! (Saying, among other things, that I must have tampered with it myself, etc.) At one point, I even asked to speak to someone else, as he was carrying on and I wasn't sure he was quite right in the head. Anyway, I left with my unreturned bottle, when another store employee that I had exchanged greetings with previously, followed me into the parking lot to ask me how much of the bottle of rose water I had used. I showed it to him and he could clearly see that it was unopened and unused. He refunded me the purchase price but did not apologize.
I don't normally write reviews, but I thought that it was important to tell people this; this is a good enough grocery store on its own, but beware of any returns of non-grocery items that you may need to make. They are unreasonable and unpleasant. It was not an experience tha I want to repeat!
Bombay Market is a Indian Grocery Store and its one of the best grocery stores near the tri-state area. They have fresh vegetables always and all the rest of the Indian Grocery needs.
I would recommend this store to all the Indian who live nearby to go and check out this store.
