We were very excited when Masala Kitchen first opened in Morganville because of its proximity to our home. Our impression after our first visit there was that the ambiance was nice, the food was mediocre. The presentation was superior to the food quality. Yet we felt that overall it was a place we could patronize. A few months ago we ordered take out from Masala Kitchen. Sadly, this time we were quite disappointed. The food quality seems to have gone down. The naan was soggy and very oily. My son found a piece of hair in his dish.

One word describes this place...elegant. If you are with a huge group of friends and are obviously 21 years and older this is the place to spend the night. The bars are huge with great service. There are pool tables, ping-pong tables, fooseball tables, and an amazing lounge-style seating area. Table service and bottle service is obviously expensive, but I enjoyed myself until 4am. The drinks are expensive at around $7 a beer to upto $10 a drink...well thats how much I paid, I am sure more exotic the drinks get, the more expensive. Overall, i would recommend this place to anyone going to the city and looking for a nice formal night out, just lounging and having fun with friends. Fun and elegant...what could be better?
